Location: 501 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Council Bluffs, IA 51501
Shift Hours: 8AM - 4PM (times may shift per overtime)

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing duties related to the cutting, preparation, display, and selling of beef, poultry, and pork products. This role requires being courteous, friendly, and providing top-notch service to customers and other team members. Further, this employee must be prepared to perform other team members’ duties when necessary.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service, and ensure customer needs are met in a timely and orderly manner
- Breaking down hanging beef carcasses (Prior Knowledge Not Necessary)
- Cutting and preparing beef and pork for the shop
- Fulfilling custom orders for specific meat selections
- Weighing and packaging products when necessary
- Maintaining a neat and clean workspace
- Conducting quality assurance checks on meats and other products
- Properly caring for all knives, tools, and equipment
- Following all applicable food safety protocols
Skills and Abilities:
- Great communication skills
- Detailed knowledge of meats, including different types, grades, and cuts
- Knowledge of meat preparation techniques
- Ability to use hand tools and stand for extended periods of time
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills, attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on foot for extended periods of time
- Able to work in 30° F refrigerated facility
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
- 1+ years of experience working in a butcher shop or meat department
